Privacy Policy and Terms of Use

The Platform is designed to provide a calm, moderated space for personal reflection and community support. Users share personal thoughts, realizations, and everyday experiences at their own pace, without any expectation to perform, impress, or present an idealized version of themselves.

The Platform is built around the following principles:

• Sharing genuine, personal experiences rather than curated content
• Fostering a community that supports rather than judges its members
• Maintaining a calm, respectful atmosphere
• Protecting the privacy and dignity of every user

You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction to use the Platform on your own behalf. If you are a minor under the law that applies to you, you may only use the Platform with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by this Policy on your behalf.

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• Accounts are intended for individual use; you may not create an account on behalf of someone else without their knowledge

The Platform is built and maintained by a single individual. Every feature, review, and moderation decision is made directly by the Operator. Because the Platform is operated this way:

• There may be delays in reviewing and approving submitted content
• Moderation is performed personally, rather than by an automated system, to protect the quality of the community
• The Platform does not guarantee uninterrupted or continuous availability

You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Platform. By submitting content, you grant the Operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Platform to you and, where applicable, to other users in accordance with your chosen visibility settings.

You represent that you have the necessary rights to any content you submit and that it does not infringe or violate the rights of any third party.

• Content may be edited by the Operator for guideline compliance, with a transparency note shown to the original author
• Content is not sold or distributed to third parties outside the ordinary operation of the Platform
• You may delete your own content at any time, subject to the retention practices described in this Policy

To protect the community, submitted posts are reviewed before they become visible to others.

• Each post is reviewed and approved before publication
• Content that disrupts the intended atmosphere of the Platform, or that violates community standards, may not be approved
• Moderation decisions are made to keep the Platform a space people genuinely want to be part of, not as a means of controlling expression

By using the Platform, you agree to be a constructive part of this community.

• Communicate with kindness and awareness of others
• Avoid hostile, dismissive, or disrespectful behavior
• Respect that every user has their own personal experience and perspective
• Contribute to an environment that supports others rather than detracts from it

In addition to the Community Standards above, you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Post unlawful, defamatory, or infringing content
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with moderation, security, or access controls
• Use automated means, such as bots or scrapers, to access or extract data from the Platform without authorization
• Create multiple accounts to evade moderation decisions or account restrictions
• Upload malicious code or content intended to disrupt the Platform

To operate the Platform, we collect the following categories of information:

• Account information you provide, such as your name, display name, email address, and password (stored in encrypted form)
• Profile information you choose to add, such as a bio or profile photo
• Content you create, including posts, comments, and messages, along with associated metadata such as timestamps and visibility settings
• Usage information describing how you interact with features of the Platform
• Limited technical information, such as browser type and general device information, used to maintain security and platform functionality
• If you enable push notifications on a mobile device, a device token used solely to deliver those notifications

Information collected through the Platform is used to:

• Operate, maintain, and improve the Platform
• Enable content moderation and enforce community standards
• Communicate with you, including account verification, security notices, and responses to support requests
• Maintain the safety, security, and integrity of the Platform
• Understand aggregate usage trends to guide future improvements

We do not use your personal information for third-party advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.

To operate the Platform, the Operator relies on established third-party infrastructure and service providers for functions such as data hosting, database storage, media storage and delivery, and transactional email delivery. These providers process data solely to perform their designated function, are contractually and technically restricted from using your information for any other purpose, and are selected with security and privacy standards in mind.

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are taken to protect your data, including encrypted storage of sensitive credentials. However, no online system can be guaranteed to be completely free of risk, and you share responsibility for the information you choose to disclose.

The Platform may use limited, privacy-conscious analytics tools to understand aggregate usage patterns, such as which features are used and general engagement trends. Any such data is used in aggregate form and is not used to build an individual advertising profile of you. The Platform does not use third-party advertising trackers.

The Platform is designed to keep you in control of what others can see about you.

• You may choose a display name instead of your legal name for your public profile
• You control the visibility of each post — public, friends only, or visible only to you
• Your email address is not shown publicly unless you choose to make it visible
• You may access, edit, or delete much of your information directly from your account settings at any time
• You may mute another user directly from their profile so you no longer see their posts or receive messages or friend requests from them — muting is private, is never disclosed to the other person, and does not end an existing friendship
• You may permanently delete your account and its associated content at any time from your account settings — no request to the Operator is required

For anything not available directly in your account settings, you may request a copy of your data or correction of inaccurate data by contacting the Operator through the Contact page. Such requests will be honored within a reasonable timeframe, subject to any legitimate operational or legal requirements to retain certain information.

Your account information and content are retained for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account or specific content, associated data is removed from active systems within a reasonable period, though residual copies may persist in backups for a limited time before being purged in the ordinary course of data management.

The Platform is not directed to children and is not knowingly used to collect personal information from children under the age required by applicable law. If the Operator becomes aware that a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, that information will be deleted.

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. The Operator does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that content will be reviewed within any particular timeframe.

The Platform is not a substitute for professional mental health care, medical advice, or emergency services. If you are in crisis or experiencing an emergency, please contact local emergency services or a qualified professional immediately.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform.

The Operator reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform, with or without notice, for conduct that violates this Policy or the Community Standards described in Section 6, or for any other reason at the Operator's discretion. You may stop using the Platform and delete your account at any time from your account settings.

This Policy is governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from your use of the Platform should first be raised in good faith through the Contact page.

This Policy may be updated from time to time as the Platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
